Parents and jumpers, Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Parents please remember our changes for extra dates for make up this month. You may refer to the news archive of the web site for last months news if you need a reminder.

Change in class schedule
Parents I need to make a change for next Thursday's class. I must be at East Carolina University for a meeting honoring my intern Ms. Jones December 11. The event will last all day therefore, I will not be able to get back in time for class. I would like to add 30 minutes to the next two classes. That means this Thursday we will have class until 4:30 and the first Thursday in January. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at any time.

Date for decorating the float is Saturday December 6, at 12:30 at Ben Quinn. I will bring paper to cover the trailer and the back board.
I will also look for large letters any ideas please let me know before Friday. You may bring any decorations that will make the float look festive. All jumpers must wear the right stuff shirt with a long sleeve white shirt under it and and warm pants. Santa hats can probably be purchased at the dollar tree.

Parents please remember to pick up your child at 4:00 sharp
on Thursday.
I have a meeting at 4:00 at West Craven High near
Vanceboro.

We will be out for Thanksgiving Holiday next week. Please refer to your registration forms in reference to Thursday. It will not be made up because that day was made up in October when we had five class days.

All payments are based on a four week pay period. Yet, we will make up our December and January days on Tuesday January 6, and January 13, from 3:00 to 4:00 because we lose two days.

Your child must give his/her teacher a NOTE stating he/she will have a change of transportation for those two days no exceptions because it is a county policy. Finally, you may want to look at the April calendar and see that we miss a Thursday yet, we will meet four days. Hope this is clear if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 637-1924.

I will contact Holly Willis this week to let her know we will be riding in the parade on December 7, at 3:00 p.m. Olivia Kawatski parent's are going to provide a truck and a trailer for this event. We will decorate the float in December just before the December 7th parade. The date and the time will be put in next weeks notes after Mrs. Kawatski confirms a day and time.

Boys and girls remember to use your bead rope if you practice out side because the speed ropes are not made to used outdoors in cold weather. Many of you didn't remember parts of your routines this past week so please pick up your rope over the holidays and practice your single and group routines.

If you haven't made your payment for November please add your $10 dollar late fee to the payment.

Jumper's you did an exceptional job at the Mum Fest.

I am truly sorry that the sound system didn't work. I found out that the new batteries I purchased just before the parade were not any good.
Please know that the next time we have a 50% chance of rain we will not perform. Parents thank you so much for your support and patience during the festival.

Boys and girls we have an invitation to be a part of the Trent woods Christmas Parade on December 7, at 3:00. If anyone has a long bed trailer with rails and a truck to pull it we will participate. I need this information ASAP so I can mail in our Entry Form. After the parade we all meet back at Fire Department for free food.

Please remember all jump rope payments are due next week.

Boys and girls have a wonderful long weekend and remember to practice.

All jumper’s must be in full uniform, white socks and tennis shoes for the show. Girls please have hair pulled or tied back out of the face for all performances. All jumpers must bring his/her own jump rope. Group routines require a bead rope and single routines can be either. I will have extra ropes if someone forgets their rope.

Please remember to make payments next week for the month on October 2. Any payments after the second will incur a late fee of $10 unless other wise discussed with Ms. Coleman. Make checks payable to Frankie Coleman.

*All other notes will be posted on the web site except those students who do not have a computer. Please check often for any up dates or changes in class due to weather or sickness.

Jumpers,

Welcome new and returning jumpers.

We will start up with reviewing skills for all levels. I will send out skill sheets this week.

I will get out uniform sheets soon.

Upcoming events will be the MUM FEST and a trip to Raleigh for the Bouncing Bull Dog camp.

I will get out a flyer asap. I will also start looking for outstanding class performances and give out rewards weekly. No slackers on this one you must practice at home because I will know it in class.

Jumpers,

You did an outstanding job at the POP ROCK performance!
You were the BUZZ around New Bern High School!

The camp was a huge success on April 19th, hopefully we will have another camp around the end of May.

Summer camp notices/flyers will go out next week.




UP COMING EVENTS..
FESTIVAL OF FUN - April 26, 2008 will be held at Union Point, downtown waterfront.

This festival is geared towards children of all ages and there will be something to do for everyone!

All jumpers will meet at the Union Point gazebo no later than 12:30pm for final preparation and the performance will be held at 1:00pm. Please remember that all jumpers need to be in full "Right Stuff" uniform. All jumpers need to bring their ropes.

Jumpers,
Boys and girls hope all of your vacations have been restful and fun. I hope you have been practicing. Spring is when most of our shows begin. Please purchase a jump rope if you do not have one. I have allowed many of you to borrow a rope during class. Unfortunately, most of the ropes that have been borrowed have not been returned. I do not have any more ropes for the beginner or intermediate size levels.
Rope cost $6 dollars each and during shows I must require each student to use his /her own rope due to making to many mistakes when they use a borrowed rope. I can place an order if I have a large number that need ropes. It only take a week to receive an order of new ropes.

Jumpers,
I was very proud to be walking, jogging, and running with you during the Trent Woods parade!

My coaches are always looking for a SPOT LIGHT jumper. A SPOT LIGHT jumper always shows good manners, respect for others, show more skills learned on a weekly basis and show an increase of knowledge and skill for his/her group's performance.

I am noticing that many jumpers are not practicing their routines. Remember use your bead rope outside during cold weather. Speed ropes are to be used indoors and during warm weather.

Our Christmas party will be Tuesday, Dec 18th, both groups will combine. Any jumpers coming on Tuesday, Dec 18th, must have a note of transportation change to stay on a different day. I cannot let your child stay after school on a different jump rope day unless you send a note to your child's teacher stating he/she will be staying after school.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE / Make up Classes
remember our classes are paid in 4 week periods

Tuesday Classes
October had 5 weeks in the month which will cover loss time on Dec 25th.
Apr 29th covers Jan 1st.
Jan 22nd will be made up by adding 30 extra minutes on Jan 8th and 15th.
Mar 25th will be made up on Mar 20th, (day before Easter holiday).

Thursday Classes
Dec 20th and the 27th will be made up on Dec 18th, (combined classes for the Christmas party and jump rope FUN!)
Dec 27th will be made up on Jan 31st.
Mar 27th will be made up on Apr 1st (an extra day during this month).

Parents your child may come any Tuesday or Thursday if the designated day does not work with your schedule.

Parent's,
I possibly have a truck and a trailer for the New Bern Christmas Parade. Please get with me if any of you are interested in helping coordinate this fun event. I will know by friday if we can participate in the New Bern parade. I am still looking for a place to decorate and store the float down town or near down town.We have received and invitation to participate in the Trent woods parade on December 2, at 3:00. We can do both one walking Trent Woods and one riding on a float down town with some jumping intermediate and advanced jumpers only. I will give more details by next news letter. The medium shorts will be in soon so all of the jumpers will be in full uniform.

Don't forget to e-mail your video's and your pictures.

Important matter: Parents I need to bring up a matter in reference to paying by check. I must now charge $15 dollar's for all checks coming back to me through insufficient funds. This will go into effect immediately.

Boys and girls your single routines look awesome keep up the hard work. Remember you may practice in the PE room any morning from 7:55-8:10.

Boys and girls you should be very proud of yourselves. You did an outstanding job Saturday at the Mumfest! Parents, I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support. It was a perfect day for family fun. I hope you all had a wonderful time. I will make the new uniform order after Tuesday to double check sizes on all of the intermediate team jumpers needing shorts and a couple of beginner jumpers.

I would like our team to ride in the Christmas parade this year. If any of you have a truck, and a long bed trailer that we can decorate and a location close to downtown, then we can pursue this idea before the deadline has ended to make a request. One parent suggested we have a pot luck gathering while decorating the trailer or a pizza party. Both ideas are fine with me. Remember jumpers keep on practicing this week, we are just getting STARTED!

Parents, thanks so much for getting your uniforms payments in on time.

Reminder: Class payments made after the first week of the month incur a late fee of $10.00

Parents please remember Tuesday classes are extended this week until 4:30. I do appreciate you waiting on me to bring your child out to car pool after class last week. Please wait in your car to pick up your child after class. I will make every attempt to get your child out by the designated time (4:00). If you need to pick-up your child in the car pool line and speak to me. If possible please wait until all other jumpers have been loaded into their designated vehicle. I truly had a difficult time last week collecting monthly payments, loading jumpers into vehicles while at the same time some of you needed to speak to me. I want to give you the time and respect you deserve when you have questions that need answers quickly. You may also send in your monthly payments by your child each month which will help the pick-up line move much more quickly. Also, I did have some payments made out to Ben D. Quinn. Please remember to make your checks out to Frankie Coleman. If you have questions about the amount please refer to site under payment area. I do apologize for anyone that was asked to send in a payment that had been paid on time. I try not to make those kinds of mistakes.

I checked on the uniforms, New Bern Sporting Goods is telling me they are not in yet. I will do my best to get them out before Friday if they come in by then.

I am asking specific teams to perform on Saturday. All of the Tuesday jumpers and one group from my Thursday team. I will list all the names of the jumpers by Friday of this week. Click Here to see the official schedule and times for our event. The time and location is listed. All jumpers must be at the dance areas no later than 12:45 ready to perform. All performers must be in full uniform with their speed and bead rope, white socks, girls’ hair pulled back and tennis shoes worn. Jumpers please practice your routine that was handed out last week. Sensational!!!

Boys and girls you have done an excellent job this past couple of weeks. Parents I will have a list of jumper's names who will be performing in the Mum Fest on October 13 by next week. I do not have the time of the performance, but it looks like we will have a great show. I will have directions to our performance spot this week. Please remember to get your payment of $35 in this week. Late fees are an additional $10. I have moved many boys and girls around because of their skill level in the past few weeks but feel confident all jumpers are doing great in the class level I have placed them in.

Thanks for your hard work boys and girls keep on jumping! Uniforms have been ordered and will be in soon. If you have any questions refer to my numbers on this web site.

Congratulations... to Carli for being picked as lead in her class. She will learn and lead all warm-ups for the week with my guidance. If you haven't purchased a rope please do so soon. I am ready to order uniforms next week. All uniforms must be paid for before I can order them. The jump rope team uniform will cost $17.02. Also, I must charge a late fee of $10.00 for all payments coming in after the first week of the month. If you haven't paid please do so unless you have spoken to me about your payment. Parents we are bursting at the seams this year in the beginner and intermediate class. I have moved all fourth and fifth graders to the Tuesday class time. Please send a NOTE to your child's teacher stating he/she will come on Tuesday until May.

We already have a performance set for the MUM FEST. I will take jumpers from last year and others that I feel can be ready. As ALWAYS If you have any questions please contact me at 671 4841 or 637-1924.

WOW! What a wonderful group of new and returning students. I was very pleased with your efforts during class yesterday. Please remember to refer to your skill sheets and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE WEEKLY! I will begin putting together partner and group routines after the next few weeks. Please remember pick-up will be at 4:00p.m. I would appreciate it if you did not come into the classroom during our sessions due to safety issues. Parents may sit outside the classroom if you prefer to wait for your child. The building is completely locked on a daily basis. If you need to pick up your child early or have an emergency, please call my cell and I will be more than happy to have your child escorted to the carpool area.

If your child needs to make up a class, you will need to send a note to their teacher stating they will need to stay that particular day. You will only need to send one note for the year to their teacher for their regular class day.

All jumpers need to wear loose-fitting clothes, tennis shoes, and girls need their hair out of their face for class. If needed, they can change into these clothes after school.

Welcome new and returning jumpers! My coaches and I are truly excited for the upcoming year. All of you will be exposed to new and improved types of partner, group, and single routines. Our community performances will also increase this year. It is important that all jumpers need to be fully prepared for class tomorrow. Tennis shoes, white socks, and loose-fitting clothes need to be worn at every practice. Uniforms will need to be purchased by next month. All jumpers will need to bring or purchase a rope for class. If your child forgets their rope, I will provide one for class that day. It is imperative that your child have their own rope for class because it is more likely that they will make mistakes switching ropes.

** Parents- If you have any questions or have not filled out the proper forms prior to class, please come inside and see me at 4:00 and no earlier, please!

*** Your child MUST have a note to stay after school tomorrow. The note needs to state that your child will participate weekly in Jump Rope class with Ms. Coleman.
